About
Yoga can be very valuable for us in good times and in hard times:
In bright times it helps us to experience joy with all our senses and from the bottom of our heart, and to build a reservoir for harder times. In difficult times it helps us to find our way back to ourselves, to our innermost wishes and strengths, again and again. It helps us to cultivate compassion for ourselves, to develop humour and confidence and to experience everything with more lightness. If we care to, it gradually makes us more attentive and more resilient. In contact with others, compassion and appreciation come more easily. For me, this practice makes every day a little brighter and lighter.
It is not only in my yoga classes that I want to pass on this support and this feeling of confidence. With the Yoga 4 Change programme I want to make yoga accessible to everyone seeking relaxation, strength and confidence — while at the same time supporting those who, considering their outer circumstances, surely have it harder than we do.
Perhaps because I have been a mum for a while now — but above all because I am convinced that childhood is the most important time in life: we help the world and all of us best when we preserve and nurture the treasure of loving compassion, respect and appreciation in our children. I know that nothing gives children more strength and confidence than loving support.
3% of the proceeds from yoga events, yoga classes and the media library go to SOS Children's Villages worldwide and the Tibet Fund.
