Osteopathy
Osteopathy
Therapy … tool … art
Health means a life full of energy and vitality, with joy and abundance. In a healthy state our movements are powerful and soft at the same time. Stability and freedom complement each other, and our structures, tissues and organs work together perfectly: our body functions as a complex network of different systems — bones and joints, brain and nervous system, heart and vascular system, immune system, hormonal system, craniosacral system, breathing and more.
Yet habits, stress, traumas, infections and other influences leave their traces and usually strain the system in more than one place.
But we are also resilient and adaptable — and osteopathy is a wonderful method of support. Looking at the complex interrelations of the body, it seeks to understand and treat the human being as a whole. This makes it possible to release blockages and to replace unhelpful patterns with new, more efficient and healthier ones. My focus is not to address just one system, but to include many different factors in the treatment:
- Craniosacral osteopathy focuses on head, pelvis and spine and their connection — and above all on the brain itself, the meninges and the dura.
- Parietal osteopathy concentrates on bones, muscles, joints and the peripheral nervous system.
- Visceral osteopathy addresses the organs and improves their supply, structure and function. Special attention is given to the connection of the organs with the spine and the autonomic nervous system (parasympathetic — especially the vagus — and sympathetic).
- Improving the breath and treating the respiratory system make the decisive difference in supporting the heart and nervous system — so that we stay healthy for a long time and regenerate efficiently. It is equally important for an upright, stable and free posture and for supple, powerful movement.
- Beyond classical osteopathy I also include the fluids of the body, the vessels and the energy. This also influences the electromagnetic field — the energy of the human being — and changes take effect one layer deeper still.
The aim is to give the systems an impulse in the right direction, so that the body finds its way back to balance, stability and space. In the process, your body learns to find this path by itself again, step by step. You gain health, resources and sovereignty.
